Suleila Desani, a 53-year-old mother, allegedly committed suicide in Grassy Park police cells. Her family is questioning this. She was found with Tik on her and was detained. Rushana Desani says that they got the privilege to wash her body, she had a stab wound, and her body was blue like she was beaten.
We couldn’t take pictures due to our religion. Police spokesperson Sergeant Wesley Twigg says the circumstances surrounding the incident are under investigation. A post-mortem will be conducted to determine the cause of death.
Jesmine van Jaarsveldt from Scottsville, Kraaifontein says that her son Jazren Robyn is a talented rugby player. She is asking for assistance for her son to be able to get him overseas for a prestigious rugby tournament.
She says that the tour to Ireland with the Rhinos rugby team is taking place in September. He is one of only two boys who had been selected at Monument Park High School. Jazren plays flank for the school and is currently the vice-captain of the team.

On Thursday and Friday South Africa’s request for the indication of additional provisional measures and the modification of provisional measures previously prescribed by the International Court of Justice (ICJ) will be heard.
The ICJ says that they will hold public hearings at the Peace Palace in The Hague on the request filed by South Africa.
South Africa will be heard on Thursday, May 16, from 3pm to 5pm. Israel will be heard from 10am to 12pm on Friday, May 17.
The Independent Electoral Commission says that voters need to notify them if they will not cast their vote at their registered voting station.
Western Cape provincial electoral officer Michael Hendrickse says that the criteria for a successful Section 24A notification included being a registered voter of 18 years or older and having submitted your notification no later than 17 May.
Voters must indicate the name and address of the voting station where they want to vote, voters cannot simply refer to a suburb or town.
The affected voters can notify the IEC by visiting www.elections.org.za and using the online Section 24A notifications portal.
