The Elsies River Community Police Forum held a Prayer for Peace Walk in Sector 4 Clarke's Estate. Residents came out and joined in, to express their anger at the ongoing violence plaguing the community.

Gun violence and gun control is a major problem in the area, with young boys walking around with weapons and killing each other. The culture of the area needs to be evaluated and responded to with a long term plan. The police are working on getting the situation under control.

CPF spokesperson Imraan Mukaddam says that

The CPF /GBV/VEP/Spiritual crime prevention were hosted by the Kwasizabantu missionary on the Moreson farm in the Malmesbury area. Forty children from different schools in the Elsies River area went on an educational excursion. The children were taught about gender-based violence, human trafficking, teenage pregnancies and abstinence until marriage. The mission is about keeping people safe.

On the premises they run a program called CYPSA: The Concerned Young People of South Africa. This program is a rehabilitation and a detox section of the farm. After the people are clean, they try and reintegrate them into society by getting them work.
