Joshlin Smith from Saldhana Bay has been missing for six days and the Patriotic Alliance (PA) leader Gayton McKenzie is offering a R100,000 reward. Western Cape MEC for Community Safety and Police Oversight, Reagen Allen says that an integrated police task team, along with community members and various organizations, is continuing their search efforts. Against Parental Alienation group has also put up a R10,000 reward. Kelly Smith makes an appeal to community members.
According to The Voice a police helicopter is searching the areas around Saldanha Bay. Mckenzie says that the community shared with him their frustration in following up leads themselves and getting told that they were not allowed to enter certain places.
The Department of Health and Wellness Communications Officer Megan Davids says that the forensic department’s main function is to find the cause of death in cases, but they are earnestly promoting the mediation to reduce child deaths. In the last six month according to the department they have investigated 193 children cases and 86 teenage cases. A recorded 523 deaths involving children have been recorded by the Western Cape Department of Health and Wellness Forensic Pathology Services.

An international tourist couple who have been visiting The Mother City from Europe was left very sad and frustrated. Their vehicle was broken into on Strand Street in Cape Town’s CBD. The couple says that while visiting the Castle of Goodhope there was not enough parking space, so they opted to park along the road opposite the Cape Town Railway Station.
An undisclosed amount of valuable items were taken from the couple, as the unknown thieves broke their back window of their SUV and fled the scene. On Tiktok the very emotional and devastated female tourist can be heard talking about their ordeal.
Inspire Elsies Radio's Noel Ruiters reports that another tourist Sheila Harris, who's currently visiting Cape Town from Derbershire in England, says that regarding this incident she feels more should be done regarding public safety issues especially when it comes to tourism.
Two pro-Palestinian protesters were denied access to the Canal Walk Shopping Centre. There are now calls for a boycott. A man and woman were carrying Palestinian flags and were denied access by a group of security guards on Saturday.
They were carrying out a peaceful protest and according to them they were being physically prevented from going inside. Two peaceful protesters against a whole genocide of people of which Cape Union Mart is a financial donor to the Israeli occupation forces.
They clearly state that it is their right to publicly protest and this is supported by the South African constitution, and their right to protest wherever they deem necessary in a public space regardless of whether it is private property or not. Cape Union Mart denies the allegations and Canal Walk general manager Gavin Wood responds by saying that safety concerns have been identified.
Our very own Miss South Africa, Natasha Joubert, will be tying the knot with long-time partner Enrico Vermaak. He proposed on a yacht cruise, at sunset with friends and family aboard, setting sail from the V&A Waterfront in Cape Town. The beauty queen says that Enrico and her have been together for eight-and-a-half years, and they have known for a long time that they are life partners.
She says that the setting was perfect and so special as both their families and friends had flown down for the occasion. CEO of the Miss South Africa Organisation Stephanie Weil sent her congratulations and says that they are delighted with the news of Natasha and Enrico’s engagement.
