The Just Jennie Show - Godfrey Williams "Godfrey Wiliams is an Afrikaans pop singer/songwriter from Cape Town, South Africa. He started singing at the age of 11, performing at school competitions and later joined the church choir. He loves music, being on stage and interacting with people in the music industry. He remembers starting out singing with backtracks back in 2002 with Jattie Van Jaarsveld paving the way for him. In 2006 Godfrey Williams decided that he wanted to improve his craft and understanding of his instrument by attending vocal classes with Lianas Vocal Studios. In 2020 he was awarded the Best Student of the Year Award. Previous winners includes the likes of Demi Lee Moore, Tashe Burger, Burger Le Roux and Shaun Tait to name a few. He continues to attend these classes to this day. Godfrey Williams recorded his 1st Solo Album U Is Die Antwoord in 2019 and a few of the songs did well on radio stations across the country. Songs like Pa Se Belofte & Jy Is die Storm (a Dewalt Wasserfall cover), were the standout songs of this project. He recorded Trots Afrikaans in 2021 and the song won Best Traditional Song in 2022 at the Afri-Indie Awards.
