Meeka Mabee is well on her way, being selected to represent the Western Cape in Johannesburg on 8th October 2025. Participating this year as a level 4 gymnast, she won 3 medals, one of them a gold medal for her floor routine, in the district competition in Kuilsriver, Cape Town. She also received 3 medals in the Western Cape finals, with another gold for her floor routine, and placed 3rd overall. Meeka loves gymnastics and goes to practice religiously at her club, Paradigm Gymnastics, in Mitchell's Plain. Also a keen scholar and prefect at her primary school, Meeka is rising above the stigma clinging to the area she grew up in and is determined to make a success of herself, using her natural talents. She was featured in the local newspaper and is hopeful for a bright future.
