Anne Siroky is a former South African beach volleyball player who was ranked number one in the country at the age of 37. She was also a National Indoor Ladies Team Player/Captain. After a back injury in 2001, she retired from playing and focused on coaching and mentoring.
In 2001, she founded The Future Factory, a non-profit organization that uses sport for education and empowerment. The organization works with schools in the Western Cape to provide sports programs. The Future Factory's work has expanded to include team building, motivational speaking, and community projects, such as feeding schemes that assist thousands of people daily, and a project to provide toiletries for girls.
Siroky has received numerous accolades for her contributions to sport and community development. These include:
The South African Student Travel Services Project of the Year Award in 2005.
The Shoprite Checkers SABC2 Woman of the Year for Sport in 2007.
Being recognized by the Western Cape government as a "Volleyball Legend."
Induction into the Hall of Fame in Volleyball by The SA Masters Volleyball Association in 2022.
She is also a motivational speaker and has volunteered for organizations like CANSA (Cancer Association of South Africa). She has a hearing impairment that she developed about 10 years prior to a 2023 article. She works as the head volleyball coach at the University of Cape Town (UCT) and is the physical education and extra mural coach at St. George's Grammar School.
