Recently Hill-Lewis was involved in the Cape Town Eye-in-the-Sky technology. He says that they are going to keep on making these investments. He says that they are increasingly attracting South Africa’s best crime experts to work for the city. They would need to tell him what the next stage of technology investment is going to be, and he guarantees citizens, his support.

Naahid Nakidien from Surrey Estate launched her first poetry book, ‘Gifts from a Whispering Soul: A Poetic Journey of Transformation’ on Saturday at the Bo-Kaap Cultural Hub.
The author is a registered life coach, nursing sister and arts producer. She is also the founder of O'dacity Films. Personal growth and empowerment are the themes of the book. She says that she hopes people will be motivated to look into their own lives and go into their own self-reflection and use the book as a base for a journey of introspection, healing and finding their own purpose.

FlySafair’s mega sale is back and this year tickets are going for R10. The airline announced on Wednesday morning that it had sold over 2,428 tickets. These sales happened within the first 20 minutes of their 10th birthday promotional sale. FlySafair tweeted: “The party is on! 2428 R10 tickets have already been sold!”
They are making available 50,000 seats on selected domestic flights selling for R10 on the 8 May. In previous years they sold their tickets for R9 and in 2022 for R8.
A new e-panic button mobile security app introduced by Gauteng Community Safety MEC Faith Mazibuko, has Zandspruit informal settlement residents, in the north of Joburg, sceptical.
Mpho Ramovha says that he has lost hope in everything, but he wants to see changes in this area. The main problem is that there's a lack of police presence, and there’s a lot of crimes happening around here, including house invasions, robberies and murders.
Mazibuko says that she wants this place to be safe, and that everyone must work together to combat crime, so they will put the CCTV cameras around this area to enhance visibility and arrest the criminals.
